How much does the Fernweh-Mobil® weigh and which base vehicle do I need?
Answer: Thanks to the lightweight GRP monocoque construction The cabin is a real lightweight (base cabin about 550 kg). It fits perfectly on all common pickups such as Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Ford Ranger, VW Amarok or Land Cruiser.
Why do you use a monocoque construction instead of sandwich panels?
Answer: Sandwich cabins consist of many glued plates with frame connections - the joints are exposed to constant stress in hard slue operation due to permanent vehicle torsion. On the other hand, our monocoque is made of one cast: There are no seams, no weak points and thus 100 % dauerhafte Dichtigkeit und extreme Verwindungssteifigkeit.
Is it really possible to sleep or cook in the cabin without setting up the roof?

How long does it take to set up and disemball the cabin?
